On June 19, 2025, Yante successfully hosted a core technical training session focused on the operation of Bursting Strength Testers for paper and paperboard. This training concentrated on two critical aspects of equipment maintenance – instrument calibration and diaphragm replacement – aiming to enhance users' equipment maintenance capabilities and ensure the long-term reliability and accuracy of test data.
The training was led by Yante's senior engineers, with content tightly focused on users' key daily operational needs. In the instrument calibration segment, the training emphasized that when the static force value displayed by the instrument does not match the actual value, timely calibration is essential to restore measurement accuracy. The session meticulously broke down the calibration process: from bleeding the oil cup and zeroing the equipment, to comparing the instrument's displayed value with that of a standard pressure gauge at approximately 60% of the instrument's range. Experts clarified that if the error falls within the ±0.5% range, no additional calibration is needed, providing trainees with clear operational criteria.
Regarding the replacement of the diaphragm, a critical consumable, the training provided equally in-depth guidance. Engineers explicitly stated that diaphragms must be replaced to ensure test validity when signs of abnormal decay in diaphragm resistance, significant increases in test result deviations, or physical damage to the diaphragm occur. The hands-on demonstration covered standardized steps: connecting an external air source, setting and locking the safe air pressure, disassembling the clamping ring system using a specialized wrench, installing the new diaphragm smoothly, reassembling the system, performing crucial oil level maintenance (ensuring sufficient silicone oil), and automatic bleeding. After replacement, diaphragm resistance verification is mandatory to confirm its performance meets standards, forming a complete closed loop.
The content of this training was highly practical, directly addressing common maintenance pain points in users' daily operations. Through systematic learning and hands-on practice, participating staff significantly improved their operational standardization and problem-solving abilities in core maintenance areas like instrument calibration and diaphragm replacement. This solidifies the foundation for laboratories to consistently deliver precise and trustworthy bursting strength test data. Yante will continue to provide such specialized technical support to advance testing standards within the industry.
